I am a harpist based in Swansea. I have been playing the harp for 10 years and achieved my ARSM diploma from Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music this year. I was trained under Lowri Ffrancon Phillips in Bridgend. I have competed in the Eisteddfod Genedlaethol & Eisteddfod yr Urdd on many occasions as well as other smaller music festivals with good results. I was the first male to attend the Catrin Finch Harp Academy in 2017 and assisted Catrin in running her annual harp day in 2018.
I play for wedding & other functions, have played the harp in a production of Kiss Me Kate in Weston super mare Playhouse & have also performed as a soloist in concerts both locally & in England. I am currently studying for my degree in Computing:Games Development at the University of Wales, Trinity St David. When not playing my harp I enjoy Lego, trampolining & skiing.
Over the years that I have been playing, I have managed to reach the preliminary finals of the Urdd Eisteddfod, a National Welsh Competition that all Welsh schools compete in, on 2 occasions, and have come 3rd and 2nd in the Eisteddfod Genedleathol for the 16-19 solo harp age class. I was First in Class for solo String performance in the Abertawe Festival for Young Musicians in 2014, 2015 and 2017, and Silver in 2018. I also received the Adjudicator's special Award in 2014. I have won First in Class in the Chadsmoor, Hednesford and District Music Festival (Any String Instrument) in 2014-2017.
